ABOUT US
The Inner West Sydney community has a long-standing tradition of supporting one another, and the Dine Out For Dignity initiative is a prime example. Taking place annually during International Eradication of Poverty Week (October 14-18), this event unites local pubs, cafes, and restaurants across the Inner West to donate a portion of their proceeds to the Newtown Neighbourhood Centre.
The NNC provides crucial services to some of the most vulnerable members of the community, including people experiencing homelessness, those living in boarding houses, and seniors needing social support. Funds raised through Dine Out For Dignity help ensure the continued operation of essential services like the Drop-In Hub, which offers a safe space for people to access support and guidance five days a week.
Getting involved is simple: visit one of the participating venues during the event week, and a percentage of your dining bill will be donated to NNC. Some venues also feature Karma Kegs, generously donated by Young Henry’s, with all proceeds going directly to support the Centre’s services.
Dine Out For Dignity is your chance to give back to the Inner West community while enjoying great food and drink. Together, we can ensure that NNC remains a lifeline for those who need it most.
